Title VI Coordinator Tier 2: Institutional Response

Title VI Coordinator Tier 2: Institutional Response

Don’t miss Adrienne Murray on the E&I “Cooperatively Speaking” podcast as she dives into Race, Gender, and Justice: The Crossroads of Title IX and Title VI.

Class Description

D. Stafford & Associates offers a 4-hour Title VI Response class. This class is designed to strengthen the response infrastructure of institutions addressing allegations of discrimination based on race, color, and national origin, including shared ancestry.

Title VI Coordinators must be prepared to lead effective institutional responses that go beyond baseline policy implementation. This four-hour class guides participants through the full arc of complaint response; from intake and assessment through resolution, documentation, and institutional coordination. Designed for those who have completed Title VI Coordinator: Tier 1–Law and Policy or already possess foundational knowledge, this class focuses on translating compliance obligations into sustainable and compliant practices across departments and divisions.

Participants will work through real-world scenarios, develop language for interdepartmental coordination, and learn response techniques that protect institutional integrity.

Some of the key topics that will be covered include:

  • Intake protocols for race, color, and national origin, including shared ancestry-based complaints
  • Coordinating interim and protective measures across campus systems
  • Managing resolution pathways and preserving procedural integrity
  • Developing documentation and audit-ready materials
  • Role definition and escalation strategies for complex complaint types
