Title VI Coordinator Tier 1: Law and Policy
Class Description
D. Stafford & Associates offers a 4-hour foundational class on Title VI law and policy. This class introduces core legal concepts and compliance obligations, preparing institutional officials to understand and operationalize anti-discrimination responsibilities under Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964.
Whether building your program from the ground up or solidifying institutional procedures, this intensive class lays the groundwork for effective Title VI coordination. Participants will examine the history and legal framework of Title VI, clarify institutional roles, and explore the relationship between policy development and equitable access to educational programs.
This Tier 1 class is recommended for officials who are beginning or refreshing their understanding of Title VI compliance and who plan to pursue advanced training in institutional response strategies.

Who Should Attend
Campus administrators and civil rights officials are responsible for implementing and overseeing Title VI compliance, especially those preparing to lead response operations or develop institutional coordination strategies.
Certification
Attendees of this class will receive a certificate of completion from D. Stafford & Associates. Certification verifies attendance at this class and can serve as an institution’s documentation that the attendee has received Title VI Coordinator training.
Faculty
This training program will feature expert faculty who serve or have served as practitioners on college and university campuses and have significant experience and expertise in managing Title VI cases.
