D Stafford & Associates (DSA) does not discriminate on the basis of any protected class in our business operations. We value and respect the diversity and abilities of our attendees and welcome persons to participate in our programs and services regardless of race, ethnicity, national origin, sex, age, disability, veterans’ status, or any other status as protected by law.
Notice of Reasonable Accommodations
If a prospective attendee would like to request or discuss an accommodation prior to registering for an event, they should send an email to [email protected]. Once DSA receives notice of a request for accommodation, a DSA administrator will contact the prospective attendee to discuss options.
Reasonable accommodations may include, but are not limited to, allowing an attendee to reserve seating near the speaker or screen; the use of closed captioning using remote translation services, or allowing translators or interpreters to the event without charge. No modification or accommodation will be provided that fundamentally changes the nature of DSA’s business operations. DSA is the final determiner of what modifications or accommodations are “reasonable.”
Service Animals
DSA permits attendees to have a service animal. Under the ADA, “comfort,” “therapy,” or “emotional support animals” do not meet the definition of a service animal. Under the ADA’s revised regulations, the definition of “service animal” is limited to a dog or miniature horse that is individually trained to do work or perform tasks for an individual with a disability. The task(s) performed by the dog/miniature horse must be directly related to the person’s disability.
Service animals must be harnessed, leashed, or tethered, unless these devices interfere with the service animal’s work or the individual’s disability prevents the animal from using these devices. Individuals who cannot use such devices must maintain control of the animal through voice, signal, or other effective controls. DSA may exclude service animals only if 1) the animal is out of control and the handler cannot or does not regain control; or 2) the animal is not housebroken. If a service animal is excluded, the individual will be permitted to enter the event without the service animal.
Entrance to DSA “Pay for Access” Programs and Activities
Entry to DSA paid events, including in person and online live or prerecorded sessions/classes/courses, webinars, or any other “DSA paid event” is limited to persons, with or without a documented disability, who have paid the requisite fee for entrance. No person is permitted to access any DSA paid event without being formally registered. Persons who have not properly registered will be asked to leave the event.
Presenters/Instructors are not permitted to bring or invite non-registered guests to an event who are not registered.
